Chapter History (try to do this in one short paragraph). This information should be standard at the end of every press release. Sometimes called "boilerplate" it is the foundational information about the chapter and the fraternity. One suggestion would be to include the "about us" paragraph from the national Web site followed by a brief statement on your chapter:
Alpha Phi Omega National Coed Service Fraternity has more than 17,000 male and female student members at 366 college campuses nationwide. Its mission is to prepare campus and community leaders through service. Its purpose is to develop leadership, to promote friendship and to provide service to humanity. Founded at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1925, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Independence, Missouri. More than 350,000 members have joined Alpha Phi Omega since its founding. The Zeta Zeta Zeta Chapter at the University State College was first chartered in 1984. The chapter provides service to the community, leadership development and fellowship opportunities to its membership.
End your press release with three "pound" signs centered at the end of the end of the document.
